This Type Approval marks the first certification for this technology, which is a step forward towards the world of bonded fasteners for cold repairs in maritime and industrial applications.
\nThe necessity of hot works in explosive environment raises safety concerns and cold solutions are being evaluated, as long as they are accepted by Class societies.<\/p>\n

After more than 10 years of research and development, COLD PAD has released a technological brick called \u2018C-Claw<\/strong>\u2019, a bonded mechanical fastener used as an anchor point, that does not require any welding or drilling.<\/p>\n

C-Claw S-300<\/strong><\/p>\n

With a design life of 35 years indoors and 20 years outdoors, the C-Claw S-300<\/strong> becomes a cost-effective and safe cold alternative to any hot or intrusive work, such as welding or bolting.<\/p>\n

Typical applications for these bonded fasteners are to recreate anchor points for pipe supports, cable trays, pipe rack structures, in sensitive areas such as deck plating above crude oil tanks. Several thousands of them have already been installed<\/p>\n
