Utilizing an experienced local team of service engineers and, upon reviewing your vessels’ equipment details, our team is able to provide you with a draft maintenance plan for YDFT (Ram type) steering gears based on a 5-, 10-, 15- and 20-years overhauling interval, along with the estimated days required for the job completion.

In view of your vessel’s forthcoming scheduled DD within 2025/2026, we would like to kindly inform you about the minimum required overhauling of your SG, following SG Maker recommendations.

Minimum recommended overhauling:

• Hydraulic pumps overhauling
• Oil filters replacement
• Bushes replacement
• Valve block overhauling
• Chain coupling replacement
• V-Packing replacement

In reference to planned maintenance:

• It is recommended for the crew to proceed with the required measurements once per year. These measurements will be further evaluated by our Yoowon team – both mechanical and operating conditions of the S/G – and we will revert with necessary comments and actions if required. The relevant Pre-Inspection check sheet can be provided upon your request.
• There is a need for overhauling, as proposed by the makers of steering gears, on a 5-, 10-, 15- & 20-year basis.
