Minimax was founded in Berlin in 1902. With one decade of experience, Minimax is now leading the field of fire protection in ships, power stations, industrial kitchens, server rooms, at wind energy converters, printing machinery and paint spraying plant. The unique solutions it has developed makes this company a world leader in most market sectors.
Intensive development work carried out in its own fire research center ensures that the company will continue to develop trend-setting innovative solutions in the future. Minimax’s products are providing steady protection to people, machines, buildings and the environment.
FIRE DETECTION & FIRE SUPPRESION SYSTEMS
Minimax develops and offers a complete range of portable fire extinguishers, such as powder, water, foam and carbon dioxide fire extinguishers. Its products cover the fire classes A, B, C, D and F for all application areas and industries.
Fire Detection Systems and Suppression Control Panels – Detecting fire hazards and reacting accordingly.
Water based suppression systems – Water extinguishing systems, such as sprinkler systems, water deluge systems or Minifog fine water spray systems are used for various purposes and always provide optimal fire protection even in challenging areas.
Foam-Based Suppression Systems – During a fire, foam extinguishing systems spread large-scale foam blanket through foam pipes, foam monitors, sprinklers or nozzles. The foam is applied on the burning material, extinguishes the fire and serves as a deterrent against re-ignition. Foam extinguishing systems are suitable for protecting high-risk areas, e.g. due to flammable liquids or plastics. The adjustable low to extremely high foaming option offers an optimal extinguishing effect for every type of risk.
Gas-Based Suppression Systems – Eco-friendly fire protection without extinguishing agent residues.
Dry Chemical-Based Suppression Systems – For room and equipment protection.
PulverPowder-based systems are stationary fire extinguishing systems. Extinguishing powders are efficient and fast-acting extinguishants. The three-dimensional extinguishing effect of the powder cloud is caused by the suffocation effect and the so-called anti-catalytic effect, a chemical intervention into the combustion process. Extinguishing powders mainly consist of non-toxic inorganic salts mixed with waterproofing and pouring agents. They are used in industrial environments for fires with solid, liquid or gaseous substances and for metal fires.
Compact Suppression Systems – Small but impressive.
Small extinguishing systems often resemble large extinguishing systems in their structures. They are not defined by a certain extinguishing agent, but are rather characterized by their compact and precise designs, which make them particularly well suited for certain applications.
Spark Extinguishing Systems – No sparking off.
Spark extinguishing systems detect initial ignition in suction and conveying systems and produce instantly a water curtain with their automatic extinguishing feature to smother smoldering particles. These systems are recommended for use in areas where combustible materials are transported pneumatically and where there is a high risk of fires or dust explosions due to sparking or smoldering particles. All the extinguishing process occurs without interrupting operations.
Fire Prevention Systems – “Fire-proof” atmosphere with fire prevention process.
Minimax fire prevention systems reduce the air oxygen content in the protection area through a controlled supply of nitrogen to create a “fire-safe” atmosphere. This prevents fires right at the outset. Depending on the deployed fire prevention system, the development of the “fire-proof” atmosphere is either permanent or on-demand.
Smoke and Heat venting Systems – Clean air and an unobstructed view.
RWA Smoke and heat venting systems keep escape and rescue routes open in the event of a fire. The system is triggered manually or automatically by heat or smoke detectors. Pneumatic or electric actuators open skylights, windows or other smoke and heat venting systems. This ensures an unobstructed view and orientation as well as fresh air in the event of a fire. In addition, the system prevents explosion-type flash overs.
Structural Fire Protection – Blocking off fires.
Baulicher Brandschutz Structural fire protection helps to prevent or contain fires and to secure escape and rescue routes in the event of a fire. This requires subdividing buildings into fire zones that spatially contain the spreading of fires for a defined period. This means that openings are closed off with fire and smoke protection doors, fire protection gates and fire-resistant glazing. Fire protection coatings reliably protect steel constructions against the impact of fire. Minimax solutions for ventilation systems prevent the spreading of smoke and combustion fumes.
Fire Extinguishers – A firm grip on fires. – Feuerlöscher Minimax develops and sells a complete range of portable fire extinguishers, such as powder, water, foam and carbon dioxide fire extinguishers. Our products cover the fire classes A, B, C, D and F for all application areas and industries. In the event of a fire, people can respond quickly and contain the fire. In office buildings as well as in production facilities and chemical plants.
WinGuard Risk Management System – Safety at a glance.
WinGuard is a transparent and user-friendly system for visualizing and operating fire detection, extinguishing and hazard detection systems. All reports and events are automatically merged on a surface and represented graphically on the screen. WinGuard offers ideal monitoring especially for sprawling, complex building structures. In addition, the hazard management system supplies operators with a range of additional information and help on individual messages and supporting them in carrying out the required measures.
